Turkey pot pie is a delicious dish that typically consists of cooked turkey, vegetables, and a creamy sauce, all baked inside a flaky pie crust. Here is a recipe to make a turkey pot pie:


Ingredients:


1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped celery

1/2 cup chopped carrot

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon dried sage

1 3/4 cups chicken broth

1/2 cup milk

2 cups cooked turkey, chopped

1/2 cup frozen peas

1/2 cup frozen corn

Instructions:


Preheat the oven to 425°F.


In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and carrot, and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.


Add the flour, salt, pepper, thyme, and sage to the skillet and stir until the vegetables are coated.


Slowly pour in the chicken broth and milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.


Add the cooked turkey, peas, and corn to the skillet and stir to combine.


Pour the mixture into the pie crust and spread it evenly.


Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.


Let the pie cool for a few minutes before serving.
