Ingredients:
• 8 cups of cubed bread (preferably day-old)
• 2 cups of eggnog
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup of granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
• 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
• 1/4 teaspoon of salt
• 1/2 cup of raisins or dried cranberries (optional)
• Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Directions:
. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and eggnog. Let it soak for about 10 minutes, allowing the bread to absorb the eggnog.
. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
. For the egg mixture over the bread and eggnog, ensuring all the bread is coated. Add grapes or cranberries if desired.
. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
. Allow the bread pudding to cool for a few minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar for an extra festive touch.
Serve warm and enjoy the heavenly blend of eggnog goodness in every bite!
