Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
For the Sauce:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lb spicy sausage (sliced)
1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 onion (chopped)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 red bell pepper (diced)
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Preparation:
Cook the Pasta:
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sauté the Sausage:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add Shrimp and Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened. Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning, cooking until shrimp are pink.
Make the Sauce:
Lower the heat and add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
Combine:
Add cooked pasta and sausage back into the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
Serve:
Garnish with green onions or parsley and serve warm.
